A Knockdown Stitch file is a type of file used by many embroiderers to tack down fluffier or thicker materials to make the final embroidery design stand out better. These files can be used on a variety of blanks, from fluffy towels to sherpa-type fabrics and thicker knit hats. These files should be embroidered onto your garment BEFORE your final design, and the thread used for these files should match the color of your blank as close as possible to achieve an "invisible" effect that will not take away from the final embroidered product.
