Want to try something new? We’ll teach you how to layer Siser EasyWeed Florescents in this quick, easy tutorial (to create this tank top, we used three different colors). Let’s get started!
As always, create your unique artwork in vector form. Once your artwork is ready, send it to the cutter! Cut your design using the same cut force that you use for typical heat transfer vinyl.
We cut our design out of three different colors for this tutorial. Once you have all of your designs cut, weed them appropriately.
Cut the necessary pieces out of your weeded design(s) for easy pressing.
Place the first layer on your garment. Press for approximately 3-4 seconds at 305 degrees (F). Peel hot.
Place the second layer on top of the first. If the vinyl is placed directly on top of other vinyl, as shown in this photo, there is no need for a Teflon sheet. Press at 305 degrees (F) for 3-4 seconds. Peel hot.
Place the third layer on your garment. Place a Teflon sheet over the entire design so no vinyl is exposed to the heat press. Press at 305 degrees (F) for 3-4 seconds. Peel hot.
Place the fourth and final layer on your garment. Place a Teflon sheet over the entire design so no vinyl is exposed to the heat press. Press at 305 degrees (F) for 3-4 seconds. Peel hot.
And you’re done! Show us your finished product here or on Facebook.
